EOS Lip Balm vs. Maybelline Baby Lips

As some of you may already know, Baby Lips have recently made their debut in the UK. I've always wanted to get one as they have gained such positive reviews but I didn't want to waste my money on shipping costs. However, EOS still hasn't reached the UK but I received one of their signature 'Smooth Sphere' lip balms as a birthday present.

Since they are both such handy things to have in your handbag I thought I would do a short review.

I have the Maybelline Baby Lips in 'Cherry Me' which funnily enough has a sweet, cherry scent. It also has a sheer dark pink/red tint to it, they claim to moisturize your lips for eight hours but I think two-three is your limit. But in that time your lips stay moisturized without being sticky or it soaking into them immediately. Baby Lips are great if you're in a hurry and don't have time for lipstick, without wanting to leave your lips feeling completely naked.

My EOS Smooth Sphere is in 'Strawberry Sorbet' which I would say has quite an artificial scent but is still lovely all the same. I love this lip balm, it's 100% natural and the shea butter and  vitamin e really sooth your lips and keep them moisturized for a long time. I like to use it before applying my makeup so I have a smooth base for whatever lip product I happen to use that day. It's domed shape is really helpful for application as well, which I found oddly entertaining when I first got it (don't ask).

It's a tough one but I think Baby Lips have the slight edge over EOS with the sheer tint being a quick and easy lip choice.

I hope you enjoyed this post and please comment on what you would like to see on here:)
